This was made in the image of the Rubin's goblet (vase). It can be opened in 6 moves. This box has been laser engraved with a flower on the bottom. Japanese puzzle boxes are an amazing combination of puzzle and art. The traditions of creating wood mosaic (called "Yosegi" or Koyosegi) have been passed down through generations. Natural colored wood materials are assembled together into a board with a beautiful mosaic pattern, and sheets of this board are pasted onto boxes for decoration.
